MS Girls Basketball Team Reaches KAIAC Finals

The YISS Middle School Girls Basketball select team delivered one of the year’s most exciting moments in the KAIAC Tournament semifinals at SFS.

After finishing preliminary play with a 1–1 record, the Lady Guardians advanced to a semifinal rematch against SFS. In a tightly contested game, the team found itself trailing in the closing minutes before mounting a determined scoring surge to even the score and force overtime.

In the extra period, Hailey Choi calmly converted a decisive free throw to secure the win and send the Guardians into the championship game.

The victory reflected a complete team effort and marked one of the program’s strongest results in recent years. The team’s resilience and composure stood out, setting the stage for continued success.
