Calendar Art Celebrates “Unity in Diversity”
The annual YISS Calendar Art Contest once again highlighted the creativity and artistic skills of our talented student artists. This year’s theme, “Unity in Diversity,” inspired a remarkable collection of artwork that celebrated the beauty of our differences. Students were encouraged to create art that reflects the harmonious blend of colors, shapes, patterns, cultures, and personalities that God has uniquely brought together in our community.
A total of 116 submissions were received from students across all three divisions. Artists explored a wide range of media—including colored pencil, acrylic, oil, digital platforms, and even three-dimensional elements—to bring their visions to life. Each piece reflected the individuality and creativity of its artist while contributing to a unified message of harmony within diversity.
After careful review, our school administrators, teachers, and staff selected 28 finalists whose artwork is now featured in the 2025–26 YISS calendar. Each chosen piece, in its own way, illustrates how diversity enriches our personal lives and our school community.
Special thanks go to our art teachers for their artistic insight and thoughtful guidance throughout the process. And most importantly, heartfelt appreciation to all of our student artists for sharing your creativity, passion, and talent with our school community.
This meaningful event was made possible through the leadership of the YISS PTO and the coordination of Angela Wang and Deanna Luck, YISS PTO Calendar Art Co-Chairs, whose dedication helped make this year’s contest a success.
In addition to displaying school events, the 2025–26 YISS calendar will serve as a vivid reminder of how our differences—when celebrated in unity—reflect the strength and richness of the YISS community.
