Guardians Enjoy Baseball Game Together at Jamsil Stadium
Written by Tony Lee, Dads’ Club Representative
Nothing brings a community together quite like a day at the ballpark, and May 10 was a perfect example of that for the annual YISS Community Baseball Game at Jamsil Stadium. There is a specific kind of magic that happens when the YISS community moves beyond the classroom and into the stands. While the Doosan Bears secured a hard-fought 3-1 victory over the SSG Landers, the real highlight was seeing our YISS community—families, educators, and friends—cheering in unison and sharing laughter and joy in the stands.
The energy in the stadium was electric when a towering solo home run by Doosan cleared the left-field wall in the 6th inning, sending the stadium into a frenzy. It was in those special moments of clapping, chanting, and cheering, the happiness in the YISS community could be really felt. Seeing our teachers and families trading cheers and laughter reminds us that togetherness is the secret sauce of our YISS community.
Missed this year's game? Don't worry and be sure to get tickets for next year's annual event. There's nothing quite like a Korean baseball game and if you haven't experienced one yet, next year's YISS Community Baseball Day is a perfect chance to do so.
A very special thank you to the Dads’ Club for taking the lead on coordinating this year’s event and making this such a special day for us all!
