Fourth Graders Explore Seoul Energy Dream Center

In science class, our fourth-grade students have been learning about different types of energy, renewable resources, and energy transfer. To bring these concepts to life, they visited the Seoul Energy Dream Center, a unique “zero-energy” building that produces as much energy as it uses through renewable sources.

Inside the museum, students explored a variety of interactive exhibits where they learned about solar, wind, and water power.

The building itself also served as a teaching tool. Students observed how solar panels, natural lighting, and energy-efficient design help reduce energy use, deepening their understanding of how sustainable technology can be applied in everyday life. These experiences helped them connect classroom concepts to real-world solutions for environmental challenges.

After their time inside, students enjoyed the outdoor Solar Playground. The day concluded with beautiful weather, allowing everyone to relax with a picnic and spend time together outdoors.

Overall, the field trip was a memorable experience that strengthened students’ understanding of science while inspiring curiosity about sustainability and the future of energy.
