Varsity Swim Teams Conclude Successful Season

The KAIAC Swim season ended the final weekend of January with the KAIAC Championships hosted at YISS. The YISS swimmers were joined by SFS, CI, KIS, SIS, HHS, and GSIS, who also showcased exceptional talent across their swim teams. The championship meet was highly competitive bringing a number of top times and places from YISS swimmers.

YISS's teams put on a strong showing, with the Girls' team securing a commendable 3rd place finish and the Boys' team achieving an impressive 2nd place finish. Combining efforts, YISS proudly claimed 2nd place in the overall combined team category.

Individually, six swimmers earned All-Tournament recognition for their outstanding performances: Chloe P. (9), Soul J. (11), Corinne C. (9), Jaimie H. (12), Max G. (10), and Ben C. (11).

These results weren't the only highlights for YISS swimmers. Throughout the season, several athletes received Female All-Conference honors: Jaimie H. (12), Serene H. (10), Corinne C. (9), Chloe P. (9), and Soul J. (11) The Boys' team mirrored this success, with Raymon M. (9), Gareth T. (12), Jeffery Y. (12), Andrew K. (12), Ben C. (11), and Max G. (10) earning Male All-Conference recognition.

YISS's dedication and talent culminated in both the Boys' and Girls' teams securing Conference Runner-Up titles. However, the most significant achievement came when YISS swimmers united to claim the prestigious title of Combined Conference Champions.

This remarkable display of athleticism and teamwork deserves a round of applause for all the YISS athletes involved. Congratulations!
