MS and HS SEW: Put God First - Life Goes Best

“At YISS, we believe in being truth-seekers, for as Jesus said, the truth sets us free (John 8:32). SEW is a powerful way for students to consider how truth does that as we follow Jesus in all areas of our lives.” - Kyle Pash, HS Chaplain

This year’s Spiritual Emphasis Week theme for middle and high school chapel students was “Put God First - Life Goes Best.” Dr. Dave Currie from Canada delivered inspiring messages, complemented by the upbeat worship music led by the Gospel City Church’s praise band.

Students were challenged to “Put God First” in their purpose, possessions, passions, and people in their lives. Many students committed to placing God first in their lives. Seeing students respond to this personal invitation to follow Jesus was encouraging.

We look forward to continued spiritual growth in our middle school and high school, and we are truly grateful for this designated week to connect with God and one another. A special shout-out of appreciation goes to our dedicated audio/sound technicians, Mr. Ludwig and Mr. Heo, whose efforts enhance the experience with unique lighting, special sound effects, and more. Their contributions were invaluable in creating a memorable event.
