ES Students Shine the Light at Stellar VBS

Each year, Elementary Vacation Bible School/Values-Based School is a powerful way to finish the year strong as the elementary community! For three mornings from June 1-5, elementary classes journeyed around the school, visiting different locations to enjoy a variety of learning experiences at stations that aligned with our space theme: “Stellar: Shine the Light.”

At Vacation Bible School with NICS students, we dug into how we can “Shine the Light of Jesus” because He is the light, has chosen us, and now calls us the light of the world. We sang great songs and explored transformative Bible stories that helped us understand the power of the light in our lives.

At Values-Based School with Oasis students, we discovered how astronauts “Shine the Light” because they have trained to become Guardians and reflected on how we can do the same! Every student was able to sing and dance, play enjoyable games, and make meaningful crafts as they journeyed around the school to different stations.

It was wonderful to hear from students how much they enjoyed the event; how it helped them grow in their faith, bond with their friends, appreciate the great year we have had together in the elementary school, and look forward to shining the light next year!
