NHS Members Read to ES Students During Read-a-Thon

From February 20 to March 10, 2023, members of the National Honor Society (NHS) volunteered to support the elementary school’s Read-a-Thon, a three-week program that encourages students to read wherever, whenever, and however. During this event, elementary students are given time to read periodically during the day.

NHS volunteers aimed to contribute meaningfully by reading to individual elementary students or small groups during their Opportunity blocks or study halls.

Other NHS members filmed themselves reading picture books; these videos were played for students during indoor recess times or break times to show that reading can be a source of fun, too.

Congratulations to elementary students for making reading a priority! NHS members were honored to support you in your learning endeavor.
