MS Spiritual Retreat Offers Recreation and Reflection

The Middle School Spiritual Retreat was a time of joy, worship, and connection for more students than ever before. This year’s theme, “Grateful in the Journey,” invited our 6th to 8th graders to reflect on what it means to live with gratitude—gratitude for God’s grace, gratitude in life’s struggles, and gratitude for God’s mission.

Throughout the weekend, students experienced powerful moments of worship, fun-filled team games, and meaningful times of reflection and small group discussion. The retreat provided an opportunity for students to grow closer to God and to one another as they explored how gratitude transforms the way we see and live our lives.

From energetic large group activities to quiet moments of prayer, laughter, and encouragement, the retreat was filled with memories that will last far beyond the weekend. One of the highlights of the retreat was the bonfire time with s’mores and spontaneous singing.

Other activities included a huge hill slide, organized games on the soccer field, and small-group games before each worship session.

Special thanks to all the teachers and staff who gave their time and energy to serve, guide, and celebrate with our students. It was a weekend to remember! Hearts were full, friendships grew deeper, and we were reminded to be GRATEFUL to God in all circumstances.
