Guardian Ambassadors Serve With Compassion

The 4th and 5th grade Guardian Ambassadors have served the YISS community in various capacities throughout the school year, including assisting at the Christmas Concert, the new student socials, the 5th grade promotion, and their ongoing service on the playground to help elementary students with peer mediation when needed.

For their annual service project, the Guardian Ambassadors brainstormed ideas and we voted on which idea would be both feasible and have the biggest impact. They decided upon accomplishing acts of service outside of school, earning enough funds to gift a “Yisspresso” gift card and hand written card to each elementary staff member. What a big act of kindness!

The Guardian Ambassadors really touched the YISS elementary staff’s hearts for the service project, leading to an outpour of positive feedback. They hosted such an unexpected and thoughtful surprise! The Guardian Ambassadors truly seized the opportunities to grow in servant leadership and give back to the school community.
