YISS Student and Staff Perform with Seoul Elite Orchestra

On Saturday, March 19, YISS 10th grader Kyra J. (French horn), band teacher Mrs. Ludwig (French horn), and orchestra teacher Mrs. Pavon (violin) performed with the Seoul Elite Orchestra at the Seongnam Arts Center.

The Seoul Elite Orchestra is a community orchestra made up of professional musicians, music teachers, music students, and music-lovers in other occupations who practice together every Saturday in the common goal of putting on brilliant performances. The orchestra practices year-round, and this was just one of many concerts. 

When asked about her participation in the orchestra, Mrs. Ludwig said, “Our rehearsals are fully in Korean and it’s a great way for us to connect with other musicians. We feel very honored they let us be part of this ensemble and are so happy we get the chance to hone our skills so we can do what we love and become better teachers.”
