ES Students Find Strength Through VBS
Elementary Vacation Bible School (VBS) was a great success and a wonderful way to end the year for the ES students! During the mornings of June 2 to 4, NICS and Oasis students each gathered separately to find a “True North” for their lives, while having a whole lot of fun in the courtyard, field and auditorium!
VBS for the NICS students focused on how “Trusting Jesus in a Wild World” can steer them home and help them find answers and strength when they feel alone or confused. During “Values Based School,” Oasis students grew in “Trusting what's True, Good and Beautiful in a Wild World” as they went into their summer and transitioned to new adventures!
Engaging crafts are always a popular feature of VBS as the students travel around campus and this year was no different. The games station was also a great time to learn the helpful concepts and have fun together. Time in the auditorium was spent singing catchy songs, performed by the Worship Team, Oasis Dance Team and by special guests, 3A!
The skits for both the NICS and Oasis students were performed by the ES Staff and got a lot of laughs, while helping the children learn to trust and discover life-changing thoughts. The students listened well to the encouraging teaching, valuing the powerful ideas provided and responding with sincere reflection. All in all, VBS was a meaningful way to transition to summer and find the “True North” together!
