Middle School Competes in Action-Packed Field Day
On Wednesday April 30, the entire middle school participated in the annual Middle School Field Day. For the second year in a row, middle school students started the day by participating in the Iron Giraffe Charity run, and the students met their goal of 1,000,000 won. A big shout out to Mrs. Pakos for organizing and leading this opportunity!
After a short break, students broke into their color teams and started field day. The day was full of hard work, laughter, grit, and competition as students competed in running activities, yard games, boat building, and trivia. In the afternoon, Mr. Craft, Mr. Evans, Mr. Roper, and Mr. Treviño were selected by their teams to race in the boats that the students had built earlier in the day. Students gathered in the aquatics center watched as Mr. Treviño and the black team rowed themselves to victory.
The day ended in the gym as 8th grade students competed against teachers in volleyball and basketball. Before students left, the winner of the field day was revealed. There was a 10 point difference between 1st and 4th place with the black team winning MS Field Day 2025! The winning team received an honorary “Golden Boot” trophy to celebrate their win. Thank you to Mr. Poyo and Mr. Beam for planning the great event!
