Students Celebrate Easter with Egg-cellent Tradition

Written by David Benedict, Elementary School Principal

On March 27, the elementary school at Yongsan International School of Seoul celebrated Easter through a special assembly and an exciting annual Easter egg hunt.

The celebration began with an Easter assembly, where students gathered to reflect on the meaning of the holiday. Like many YISS events that emphasize character, faith, and community, the assembly provided an opportunity for students to pause and reflect on the significance of Easter.

Following the assembly, excitement quickly spread as students headed outside for the annual Easter egg hunt—an event organized by the YISS PTO.

Elementary students had an egg-cellent time racing across the playground, eagerly searching for colorful egg-like golf balls hidden across the field. Each grade competed to collect the most eggs, adding a fun sense of teamwork and friendly competition.

Every student left with a goodie bag and a smile, a simple but meaningful reminder of the care and thought put into the event. The combination of reflection, play, and community spirit made the day both memorable and impactful.

A heartfelt thank you goes to the PTO for the creativity, planning, and love poured into this cherished annual tradition.
