DC United Triumphs at International Dads’ Club Soccer Tournament
On June 1, the YISS Dads’ Club soccer team, known as DC United, triumphed at the International Dads’ Club 7-a-side Soccer Tournament hosted by Dulwich College Seoul.
The friendly but fiercely contested tournament brought together teams from several international schools across Seoul, including Dulwich College, Seoul Foreign School (SFS), the Japanese School in Seoul, and Deutsche Schule Seoul International (German School).
DC United opened the day with a solid 1-0 win against host Dulwich, followed by an impressive 2-0 victory over the German School.
Their momentum continued with a narrow 1-0 win over the Japanese School, placing them undefeated heading into their final group match against SFS.
In a dramatic showdown, DC United initially fell behind 0-1 but responded with two quick goals to take a 2-1 lead. However, the match ended in a 2-2 draw, setting up a rematch in the finals for the tournament championship.
With grit, teamwork, and a bit of redemption on the line, DC United powered through the Championship match against SFS with a score of 1-0 to secure a well-earned 1st place trophy.
