On Tuesday, February 2, the YISS kindergarten classes celebrated the 100th Day of School! The event, celebrated annually on the 100th day of the school year, gives the students an opportunity to have fun with learning tasks focused on this important three-digit number.
Leading up to the 100th day, the kindergarteners gathered 100 objects from their homes. These objects -- including pom-poms, stickers, candy, and more -- were used to create 100-day posters with creative designs. Students then spent the day showcasing their knowledge by participating in a variety of counting games and songs, creating crowns, and stamping 100 thumbprints.
Various other 100 day activities happened throughout the week which invoked imagination, prompting students to wonder what they would do if they had 100 dollars or what they will be like when they are 100 years old.
