From September 7-9, 180 students and staff members gathered for a weekend of fun and fellowship at Gwangrim Vision Land in Namyangju for the 2018 “Real Life” Middle School Spiritual Retreat. Throughout the weekend, students were challenged to reflect on the way their current habits shape the lives they live. They attended large and small group sessions where they learned about and discussed three major areas that God works through—the “fear factor,” the “friend factor,” and the “faith factor.”

The talks alternated with exciting large group activities such as bubble soccer, hiking, and racing down a waterslide. Saturday night ended with a bonfire below the stars where laughter, friendship, and Oreos abounded. All of the students and staff left inspired and excited for all that God has planned for this year of middle school. Thank you to the YISS community for the support and prayers that made the weekend possible!
