Band Students Participate in KIMEA MS Honor Band Festival

Over 200 middle school band students representing different international schools spent the day at SFS for this year’s KIMEA MS Honor Band Festival on Thursday, February 1. The Korean International Music Educators Association (KIMEA) is an organization comprised of music teachers and directors serving at international schools in Korea. The organization seeks to advance music education in Korea and hosts music festivals throughout the year.

Participating schools included:

  • Asia Pacific International School
  • Gyeonggi Suwon International School
  • International Christian School of Pyeongtaek
  • Korea International School
  • Seoul International School
  • Seoul Foreign School
  • Taejon Christian International School
  • Yongsan International School of Seoul

Students were divided into three different bands (gold, red, and blue) and spent the day rehearsing for a beautiful concert that afternoon for parents, teachers, and friends.
