From August 25 to 27, the Class of 2019 attended the annual school-sponsored Senior Retreat. The entire class, along with faculty chaperones, spent three days and two nights at Team Vision Center, located in the northwest outskirts of Seoul.
The retreat was designed to help the seniors get a better understanding of how the year should be approached—through making wise choices academically, collegiately, as well as personally. There were activities ranging from team-building exercises to personal and academic goal setting and testimonies from faculty. The students and faculty also conquered a challenging hike to cap off the weekend.
One of the highlights of the retreat was the “vision casting” activity. The seniors spent time reflecting on their personal and academic goals as they assembled their own Chinese lanterns that were later lit and set free into the night sky. Tayne K. commented, “The Senior Retreat was great and was a chance to spend time with friends and get to know both them and myself better.”
With perfect weather throughout the weekend, along with plenty of free time to bond with their classmates, the Class of 2019 is ready for a successful school year.
