Once a week, Headmaster John Kennedy invites a group of high school seniors to chat with him over a cup of juice, hot chocolate, or coffee at a nearby coffee shop. He sees this as an opportunity to meet and learn about each student, as well as hear about their experiences as students at YISS. During their time together, he asks each senior to name something that they love about YISS and something that they wish would change. Allison P. shared, “It was a nice to have the opportunity to talk to our new headmaster, Mr. Kennedy, in a relaxed setting. Many seniors have been at YISS since we were in elementary school so we are glad that our opinions are valued.”
Mr. Kennedy enjoys these special moments with the seniors and prays that they will continue to pursue truth, embrace excellence, and appreciate diversity as they enter the next chapter in their lives.
