High School
The high school program is designed to challenge students with a level of academic rigor that prepares them for the demands of the 21st century in a supportive setting. Students are taught to think critically, communicate clearly, work collaboratively, and reflect creatively.
Academics & Curriculum
The high school challenges and encourages students with an academic program grounded in a moral, Biblical worldview that prepares them for the rigors of higher education and the demands of their chosen careers. Most students go beyond the basic high school graduation requirements and follow a more challenging plan of study.
Spiritual & Character Education
Our diverse community endows YISS with the opportunity to offer both spiritual and character education. Spiritual and character education can be experienced in our classrooms, chapel services and assemblies, service learning opportunities, and more.

Service Learning
The Guardians Outreach Education & Service (GOES) program provides students with multiple opportunities to serve throughout Asia over Spring Break. The hope is that understanding and empathy grow naturally from face-to-face engagement with other cultures and peoples.
Learning Support
Learning support includes services for students with learning disabilities through our student learning services (SLS) program, speech therapy, and an English language learner (ELL) program. YISS is also the only school in Korea to offer the Arrowsmith Program to strengthen students’ learning capacities and cognitive abilities.
Guidance & Counseling
Our guidance and counseling services enhance the academic, career, social, and spiritual development of students as they experience all that high school has to offer. Counselors also aid new students and freshmen with transitioning to high school at YISS.
Clubs & Societies
With over 50 clubs to choose from, student-led clubs exist to give students an avenue for pursuing their interests and passions outside of the classroom in a manner and format that helps them to grow and develop as leaders.

Athletics
The mission of YISS athletics is to develop integrity and to instill a passion for excellence in our athletes, who compete on 20 teams across a variety of sports including cross country, tennis, volleyball, basketball, cheerleading, soccer, swimming, and track and field.

Library & Media
The library and media center promotes media and information literacy; cultivates an appreciation for reading; enables our users to access, evaluate, and ethically use information; and encourages a habit of lifelong learning.
Performing Arts
Students are presented with a wide variety of courses to continue their performing arts studies. With the many options available, students are able to focus on their passion for the arts in whichever field they choose.

Technology
With a 1:1 device program in the high school, students use technology daily in support of their learning across the curriculum to access course materials, submit assignments, participate in online discussions with their peers, and create digital content.
