Guest Speaker on North Korean Refugees

High school clubs, Liberty in North Korea and ENKO will be hosting a documentary screening and speaker event this evening Monday, May 15 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the 2nd Floor Multi-Purpose Room. The documentary is approximately one hour, and the speaker, Dr. Sarah Son, will be joined by Mr. Sehyek Oh, Lead Researcher at the Transitional Justice Working Group and refugee from North Korea, to present and offer a time of Q&A. If you have any interest in the North Korean refugee crisis or in North Korea, this event is for you. All are welcome to attend. About Dr. Sarah A. Son Sarah A. Son is a Post-Doctoral Research Associate in the Department of Politics and International Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. She received her PhD from SOAS in 2014 on the international relations of the Korean peninsula. Based in Seoul, she is currently continuing her research on national identity, security, human rights, and reconciliation in inter-Korean relations.
