Admissions Timeline

YISS has rolling enrollment and will accept applications throughout the school year to be considered for mid-year openings. Thus, there is no specified due date for applications, however, it is recommend that applications and required documents be submitted by mid-March when possible.

* Applications for the 2016/2017 school year are now open.

1: Complete and Submit YISS Admissions Application & Required Documents
Applications are released in February for the upcoming school year that begins in August. Please be sure to use the online application when applying to YISS. Applications will only be reviewed and considered after all required documents are submitted and verified. No payment is due when application is submitted.

2: Process and Review of Application
Testing & Interview: If a test is deemed necessary and if space is available, YISS will contact the applicant's parent(s) to schedule an interview and/or test. When an applicant sits for an interview or test, a non-refundable Application Processing Fee of KRW300,000 is required, whether or not the applicant is able to be accepted.

In most cases, applicants entering kindergarten and first grade are required to have an informal interview and assessment prior to acceptance.

3: Acceptance or Wait Pool
In most cases, acceptance will be offered in April and May for the upcoming school year, or as spaces become available.

For applicants placed in the wait pool, the process stops here until and unless a space becomes available.
4: Confirm Enrollment
Once an applicant is accepted, all tuition and school fees are due by the designated due date to secure a space.
5: Submit Additional Documents (prior to start date)
Before the first day of school, the following steps are required:
  1. Registration Packet completed in admissions and enrollment app.
  2. Final and official transcript/school records submitted via email by the current school.
  3. For high school students, a meeting with one of our guidance counselors is required to select classes, prior to starting class.
