High School

The high school program at Yongsan International School is designed to challenge students with a level of academic rigor that prepares them for the unique demands of the 21st century in a challenging, engaging, and supportive setting. Students are taught to think critically, communicate clearly, work collaboratively, and reflect creatively. The development of the whole person – spiritual, intellectual, emotional, social, and physical – is the recognized goal and is realized through the academic, leadership, athletic, service, and fine arts programs and activities offered at YISS. The school's adopted values – truth, excellence, and diversity – are consistently emphasized in pursuing this goal.

  • As a school committed to presenting truth – and life – through a biblical worldview, we endeavor to engage students with truth, grace, and love in all that we do.
  • As a school committed to excellence, we guide and encourage students to pursue the best in all that they do, being and becoming the person God created each of them to be.
  • As a school committed to diversity, we strive to be an international school community in which students recognize and appreciate the immeasurable worth and beauty of diversity.

Our desire and aim is to graduate young men and women equipped for and enthused about their life's call, ready and eager to engage and impact the world with truth and grace. It is a lofty goal, but one which we are humbly committed to and that is worthy of our best efforts.

In His service,

Dr. Dave Baniszewski
High School Principal
