WELCOME

At Yongsan International Middle School, we recognize that our students are in need of a secure environment where they are accepted, appreciated, and are free to share ideas, express thoughts, and ask questions. We strive to provide such an environment in the classroom, in the lunchroom, and on the sports field. In this environment, our middle school students are able to grow and learn. Middle school students have great enthusiasm for life, unending curiosity about the world, and tremendous inquisitiveness regarding the unknown. They are also living through one of the greatest periods of transition they will ever encounter. Truly, they are a special and unique group of students capable of accomplishing much.

The academic program is challenging and is designed specifically with middle school students in mind. Our teachers understand that not all students learn the same way, so they use a variety of strategies and tools to engage students in the content and to enhance learning. Students are encouraged to think both logically and creatively as they attempt to answer questions and solve problems. The academic program is enhanced with a variety of elective options which provide opportunities for students to explore areas of interest such as language, technology and the arts. 

The middle school faculty and staff desires to work alongside parents as they guide their young adolescents through these exciting yet challenging years during which students will solidify the values and ideals that will be with them for the rest of their lives. We are honored to be a part of your child's education.
